“Sharing Stories for Wellbeing” is a small group experience, where participants are invited to recount and record their own life stories – anecdotes, words of wisdom, dreams, reminiscences and experiences. Facilitated by an experienced storyteller, the course offers a chance to reflect, and to acknowledge the value of life and the contribution they have made. It is an opportunity to make sense of experiences, express emotions, and capture personal stories.
There is no requirement for participants to have previous experience or skills in storytelling or creative writing. Participants will be offered support with any issues that may emerge during the course.
An opportunity to capture and record your own life stories – anecdotes, reminiscences and experiences. Just bring yourself, your memories, your imagination and a willingness to participate within the group.
This course will be evaluated by the University of Northampton. A university observer will be present to observe one or more of the sessions, and participants will be asked to complete short pre and post course questionnaires about their experiences. Participation in the evaluation is entirely voluntary and participants may withdraws from the study at any time.
